Sandy River Coho Fishing | Angling Addict Fishing Co Coho Spinners Are On Fire!!
What's going on Anglers?
I hope you guys have been hitting the river and finding some success with this season coho and chinook salmon.
The Sandy River has remained consistent over the last few weeks, pumping out decent numbers of coho and chinook. A lot of these fish have been natives and have been released back into the water, but from what I've seen so far this season, the Sandy has been where it's at.
As most of you know, we have our own lure company (Angling Addict Fishing Co) and the orders have been insane! I am working on adding some new colors of squid skirts and a new line of lures for steelhead just in time for winter steelhead season.
I will have the next Sandy River Fishing Report out to you guys in the next couple of days, along with an updated Clackamas River Fishing Report. But basically, the Clackamas has been hit or miss the last few weeks, and just hasn't been consistent in my opinion. I'm hoping that things pick up here soon.
Anyhow, this video was just a short trip around 9-11am and I have to say, though I do fish in the morning, a lot of my catches usually come between that 8-11am timeframe. I went and hit a stretch of river just below the Tippy Canoe, this is usually a good area to target steelhead but considering there was nobody around, I decided to fish it AND take advantage of the low water line and was able to make it downriver a bit to a few areas I will surely be targeting in another couple of months.
As most of you know, I love fishing with spinners, and bank fishing in general. This season I have basically only been using these spinners because they have been on fire. I would usually switch it up and float eggs under a float or maybe even twitching jigs for coho, but I have had no urge to yet, or need. I'm sure I will begin to explore other techniques as the season progresses, but for those of you wondering which technique you should try, I'd say throw some spinners, they have been working, for myself and a lot of other bank anglers. But I do have to say, I have seen a lot of fish caught with bobber and egg by those who are float fishing for coho.
There have been a few fall chinook and Tule Chinook but not much for any bright fish, which isn't much of a surprise.
That's gonna do it guys, if you haven't checked out or if you are interested in these lures, you can find them at http://anglingaddictspnw.com
We can customize any order to your needs, so if that's the case, just let us know.
As always, Best of luck to you guys and I hope to see you out on the water
